Scream for Ice-Cream!

Fun Facts

A couple weeks ago we shared that it is illegal to own just one guinea pig in Switzerland. Well, have you ever considered eating guinea pig? How about in ice-cream? I heard just this morning that one ice-cream vendor in Ecuador is now offering ice-cream made with the flesh of guinea pigs – and demand is huge! As a fan of ice-cream in general, that makes me want to scream – but definitely not for guinea pig ice-cream! #bringbackbutterbrickle

Family Focus

Students left for Midterm today and will return next Tuesday for the remaining six weeks of First Term. Pray for safe travel and meaningful times together as families. Some kids are unable to travel all the way back to their host countries and so spend the weekend with guardians in Nairobi.

Thanks for praying for me (Jonathan) as I taught for the first time in years. I really enjoyed the last couple months of teaching Bible to eleventh graders. I’ll get two new groups of students after Midterm. I can’t speak for the students – but for me teaching theology (study of God) has led time and again to doxology (worship)! I will genuinely miss this group of students and thank God for the opportunity to learn and grow together with them.

Lilli and I have gotten to spend some time over the last couple of days with missionaries that are working in strategic locations in Africa among Muslims. Sorry we can’t be specific with locations for security reasons. The gospel is beginning to bear fruit in dry places – as we receive word that entire families are putting their trust in Christ. This in countries where there are only handfuls of known believers! Oh take heart faithful prayers – rejoice and keep praying! The gospel is going forth, the Spirit is on the move, but keep praying for more gospel workers (especially among Africans)!
