Karibu Family

Fact

Another term at RVA has come and gone and a new class of graduates have left the greenhouse of Kijabe and begun their next chapter of life around the world.

We got to welcome Lilli’s parents, Stan & Kathie Quanbeck, her twin sister, Vicki, and three of Vicki’s daughters, Lucy, Kalli, and Camille on July 11. They were with us for one week and got to experience a bit of life at RVA, as well as kissing giraffes and seeing some other African wildlife. They are now in Madagascar on a two-week trip.

Our daughter, Hannah (without her hubby, Henrik), arrived on the 23rd and will spend three weeks with us!

  • Evangelical cultural shifts are having an impact on our campus. Pray for humility, grace, and wisdom to guide these students, and for courage and faithfulness to stand on the truth of God’s Word.
  • Jonathan will be teaching eleventh grade Bible next term in addition to his chaplaincy responsibilities. Pray for his preparation and connection with students. The chaplaincy will also be without the male student chaplain for First Term.
  • Pray for Jonathan as he works to build closer relationships with our neighbor Africa Inland Church.
  • Pray for Lilli and her team in Student Health as they work around construction during next term.
  • Pray for good family time together in August.
