Dorm Cover

Every Thursday night from 7:30-10:00 we provide dorm cover for fifteen ninth-grade girls in KUE (Kedong Upper East). Unlike last year when we supervised study hall, led a devotional time, and said goodnight to each room when they were in eighth grade, this year we simply hang out in the dorm lounge (where several do homework) and are available if they need us.
This provides a much-needed night off for the dorm parents each week. Dorm parents have the hardest job on campus. They care for 15-20 students 24/7, some of them in addition to their own families. For us, we love the opportunity to spend time with these students!

- Thanks to God we’ve had such a good start to the term! Most of the students seem to be doing quite well
- Pray that we would all finish this next week strong. Midterm Break starts next Friday until Monday, Oct. 9.
- Most kids will get to spend Midterm with their parents, but some who live too far away will be spending the weekend with guardians. Most guardians are great and make it a fun time – but it doesn’t replace time with parents.
- Spiritual Emphasis Week begins October 10. Pray for our speaker and for receptive hearts from our students to the Holy Spirit’s work. Also pray that every week would be “spiritual emphasis week” in our pursuit of God and application of the gospel.
