Mfangano
Thank you all for praying for me and my trip to Lake Victoria in March. I would like to share just a few highlights with you.
For my RVA Interim, I went on a weeklong trip to Lake Victoria on an island called Mfangano. I chose this one because it was a more ministry-related trip. We participated in several outreach activities, but also did some relaxing.
A couple different times we visited a nearby high school where we toured the campus, played sports with the kids, and talked with them. I really enjoyed these times of getting to know some of the female students.
A highlight of our trip was helping to build a mud house for a family with no place to live. That was a really cool experience, even though it was a pretty dirty job!
My favorite part of this trip was getting to know the culture and interacting with the people of the island. I’m excited to see what God has in store for me, and can’t wait to have more ministry opportunities like this in the future.
