Chai

Kenyans drink a lot of Chai and not very much coffee. Kenyan Chai is different than Indian Chai in that it usually adds a lot more sugar – which makes it really sweet! The recipe can be as simple as a mixture of tea, milk, and sugar. In Kenya, Chai is enjoyed anytime. It is served at breakfast, morning break, after lunch, afternoon tea, and after dinner.

Here at RVA, we have Staff Chai at 10:30 every morning after Student Chapel where we share prayer requests and announcements for the day. And yes, there is coffee as well!
